Vario mount

      This mount can be used to clamp various instruments to almost any tube on a hang glider. It works very well on streamlined down tubes.
With a straight tensile load on a round tube, the clamp will hold over 20 lbs       With the weight at the end of the 4" arm (shown with the vario - 7.5 oz), the clamp has been tested with a 2 lb. load when clamped to the downtube and a 1 lb load when clamped on a round base tube. If you wish to clamp a greater load on a round base tube, some anti slip materiel could increase the load that the clamp will take without rotating.
